About Gudlite Entertainment
Gudlite Entertainment is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba and is owned and operated by Kent Gudmundson (a.k.a.:DJ Gudlite). Kent began his career in 1997 at a local roadhouse. There, he learned the art of mixing, announcing and designing light shows. Kent was essential in deciding the musical format that the establishment was to take. The result was an average crowd of about 650+ people every Friday and Saturday night. After the roadhouse, Kent decided to try his hand at socials and weddings. He began playing at a local banquet hall and perfected his talent for pleasing the entire crowd, from the young to the young at heart.
Before beginning his career as a DJ, Kent worked as a bar supervisor and bartender. He has also worked as an electronics sales person for a large department store. This experience has taught him that customer service is number one. Therefore each day, Gudlite Entertainment strives to provide the best in customer service.
We at Gudlite Entertainment also believe that having a light show does us no good if it sits in storage. What's the point of purchasing lighting if we are only able to book it on a small percentage of our shows? We want to play with our toys!!! That is why Gudlite Entertainment offers a free light show with every booking.
And why the name Gudlite?
Well, as a teenager, Kent's older brother was given the nickname Gud(Gudmundson) from his friends. Later, people began calling Kent "Little Gud". Eventually, this was shortened to "Gudlite". The nickname stuck, and Kent began using it as his stage name. Thus, the name Gudlite Entertainment.
